Hi, I’m Ed

If you’ve ever felt completely stuck trying to figure out portrait photography, especially off-camera lighting, you’re not alone.

I struggled with it for years.

Back in the film days, I’d wait a week to get back shots that looked nothing like what I had in my head. It was frustrating, and it shook my confidence. I knew I had the creativity, but I couldn’t make the lighting work. And that created a lot of self-doubt.

Things changed when I really started to understand light. Not just settings and gear, but how to shape light intentionally, with minimal equipment. Once that clicked, it changed everything. I felt confident again, and capable. That’s when photography started to feel fun and rewarding.

Now I teach what I learned, the stuff I wish someone had shown me years ago. I focus on helping other photographers go from frustrated to confident, without spending a ton on gear or chasing every new technique.

If that sounds like something you’re working through right now, I’d love to help.

I created place designed to help you get consistently great results with affordable gear.
